About Us

M/s. Seva Engineering Works Pvt. Ltd. manufacturers of 'PRABODHAN CAPACITORS' was established in 1984 by technocrats & businessmen with rich experience in divers fields. Promoter & present Director Shri V. Y. Thite passed out in 1967 from COEP Pune with degree in Electrical Engineering & completed M.B.A. from University of Pune. He is in the field of P.F. Improvement Capacitors from 1970. Shri. S. P. Pradhan In-charge of our manufacturing plant has also experience of 30 years in manufacturing Capacitors. We have dedicated work-force of more than 30 personnel who are with us right from inception of our company.

Brand name PRABODHAN along with manufacturing plant was given to us by Jnana-Prabodhini, a well known educational institute in Pune.

We have manufacturing plant at S. No. 566/7, Hiware Road, Saswad - 412 301 with 30 Kms. distance from Pune city. We have built up RCC structure of 4000 Sq.fts. located on 1 acre land owned by us. It encompasses, in-house design unit, manufacturing unit, quality-testing unit and storage unit. We have separate section for manufacture of L.T. & H.T. Capacitor control panels & Series Reactors (required for Harmonic filters).

We import raw materials like Aluminium Foil, PP Film, Tissue Paper, PXE Oil from Southeast & European countries. We have exported our products to few countries through our associates.

Our sophisticated manufacturing unit well equipped with the latest technologies and machines enable us to provide quality range in conformation with the international standards. Experienced professionals persistently strive to build long-term relationship with our clients and assist us in creating novel designs in accordance with their requirements.

Under the able guidance of our mentor Mr. V. Y. Thite, we have been able to garner vast clientele across the domestic market. His sharp business acumen and able mentor-ship skill has helped us embark on road to higher & continuous growth within a span of 30 years.

1. LT Shunt Capacitors

Available in three designs (Upto 1000 VAC / Single Phase / Three Phase)

MPP (Metalized Polypropylene heavy duty self healing as per IS - 13340).
APP (Polypropylene / Film + Aluminium Foil) Non-Self healing heavy duty as per IS - 13585 Part 1.
Mix-Dielectric (PP Film + Tissue Paper + Aluminium Foil) non self healing as per IS-13585 Part-1.


Note:
All Capacitors are vacuum impregnated with N-PCB Oil
Single Unit of maximum rating in MPP design is 30 KVAR
Single Unit of maximum rating in APP design is 50 KVAR.
Ratings above 30 KVAR in MPP & above 50 KVAR in APP type are supplied in Banks

2. HT Shunt Capacitors

We offer HT Shunt Capacitors For Power Factor Improvement as per IS - 13925 Part 1.

Ratings :
3.3 / 3.6, 6.6 / 7.2 KV Single Phase & Three Phase.
Any rating above 1 KV upto 11 KV Single phase & Three phase.

Capacitors upto 150 KVAR rated 3.3 & 6.6 KV available in single unit onwards in Banks.

3. SERIES & SHUNT REACTORS

We manufacture entire range of series & shunt reactors air & iron core with copper / aluminium winding suitable to operate upto 11KV 3 Phase system.

4. HARMONIC FILTERS

We design & manufacture H.T. & L.T. harmonic filters upto 11KV 3 Phase system.

5. APFC PANELS

We manufacture H.T. & L.T. APFC Panels suitable to operate upto 11KV 3Phase System.

6. SURGE CAPACITORS

We manufacture Surge capacitors against specific requirements.

Harmonic Analysis & Energy Audit :

We We undertake harmonic analysis & energy audit on Hikoy Japan make three phase analyzer. Measurement upto 1000 Amps. with 0.2% accuracy is possible. Above 1000 Amps, separate C.T.s are used.

Guarantee (against manufacturing defects):
  • MPP heavy duty capacitors are guaranteed for 18 months from date of supply or 12 months from date of commissioning whichever is earlier.
  • Heavy duty APP design capacitors are guaranteed for 3 years from date of supply.
  • Mix-Dielectric Capacitors are guaranteed for 5 years from date of supply.
  • All guarantees are related to THD level present in the system.

Capacitor testing at site :

We undertake job of testing of capacitors of any make at site. This service is at nominal charge & if order for brand new capacitors is placed with us, it is free of charge.
